Fog systems have significantly lower water consumption than conventional sprinkler and flood systems.
Low pressure fog applications use identical technology as sprinkler and flood systems. Therefore, in most cases, a common engine room and water supply can be used.
In contrast, high-pressure mist systems operate with pressures from 80 bar supplied by special high-pressure pumps.
In addition to the order of magnitude lower water consumption, the big advantage of these applications is also the smaller dimensions of the pipes. Due to the high requirements for the purity of the water and the pipe network made of stainless materials, during activation, there is significantly less pollution of the area affected by water.
Thanks to these properties, fog systems are used in laboratories, hospitals, cultural monuments but also in offices and theaters.
